This weekend we got a little dose of unexpected Chi
in downtown Phoenix when we stopped at the Japanese Friendship Garden. It was created as a joint project between Phoenix and its sister city in Japan. The garden was amazing - flowing fountains, tall shady trees, and lots of places to sit and reflect.
Following traditional principles of Asian design, the garden was laid out to reflect different things in nature (high grassland, mountain streams, green valleys, etc.) As we walked through the garden, we read signs telling us that the path was taking us through a balanced yin/yang system.
To enhance his chi, David took this photo with a lucky fish statue. What a feng shui face!
