Our first stop was canoeing down the James river. Ton of fun. Lee had found a great place to rent boats which also doubled as a small organic farm. All went well until we discovered that canoes were a tad less stable than originally expected. Luckily that was the only swim we took during the entire trip, and we were able to right our canoe and get back on our way after only ten or fifteen minutes. One more valuable lesson learned about canoeing: the person sitting in the back of the canoe does all of the work.
After leaving the river, we all headed to The Alternate History Theme Park Where Dinosaurs Fought the Civil War. Yes, you read that right. The theme park documents the North's heretofore unknown discovery of dinosaurs in Virginia and misguided attempt to use said dinosaurs as a WMD in the civil war. Lesson learned: never use dinosaurs to fight your battles for you. Second lesson learned: If you are cute like G a kiss on the cheek can befriend a dinosaur.
Of course, no trip to a dinosaur theme park could be complete without being hatched below a T-Rex. 
As if the Alternate History Theme Park was not entertaining enough, admission also came with some giant bugs, monster friends, and free admission to Professor Cline's Haunted Monster Museum:
And yes... in case you were wondering we were able to meet the famous creator of all this mischief Professor Cline himself.
Finally, we decided to add a bit of culture to our excursion and visited Foamhenge. That's right Foamhenge. A full-size complete replica of stonehenge constructed out of foam and paint that explains the creation of the outcrop complete with full sized replica of rock-moving merlin the wizard.
Just to keep us on our toes a magical starfish arrived and started doing cart-wheels around the foam blocks. Honest no drugs were involved in this outing.
