Saturday we took a drive up to the Chesapeake in search of a park with limestone cliffs and fossils. We got the wrong address off of the park site so we ended up about an hour and a half from where we thought we were going. On a recommendation from a park ranger we parked by the side of the road and hiked out to a deserted beach where we found beautiful driftwood, lots of shells and even a few sharks' teeth. It started to rain but we kept walking and made it to the edge of a small peninsula with a great view. Sometimes the best finds happen when you're a little off course.
