Went to an amazing folk music festival in Prescott (pronounced like "biscuit"). The festival was outside at a historical park and there were musicians in every corner practicing and jamming informally. We heard celtic music, bluegrass, folk, and 60's rock. A very cool day with lots of banjos and harmonies (who doesn't love a good banjo?). While in Prescott we also checked out Whiskey Row - a row of old shops and bars around downtown. We stopped in a store to try some cactus candy because everyone told us it was good. I only had one piece and it tasted like a jelly bean. We also stopped at a place called Grandma's Bakery where we had sassafrass tea and a homemade eclair. Mmm. To avoid complete sugar-shock, we went to a nearby organic food store and had sprouts and veggie burgers. One veggie burger covers a multitude of sweet sins. Tired and happy after our day in Prescott we stopped on the way home at an old onxy mine to see if we could find any leftover treasures. We did find some good rocks which we put in the back of the Saab as we headed home.
