July 4th in Arizona

Here are some recently discovered photos from our first trip to AZ. We took these the weekend that we came out to interview. The cactus is from the Botanical Gardens where we first discovered that the desert actually reaches its high temp in the late afternoon. Going at 4 o'clock in the middle of July probably wasn't the best idea.

The mountain photos are from Sedona where we went hiking and tried to find a vortex to recharge our energies. I don't think we ever found the vortex, but we did recharge with some chocolate from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Co. on the main strip.

This is us at Taliesien West - Frank Lloyd Wright's winter home and studio. We took a very cool tour where they walked us through the house and the work areas. Wright designed everything in the house, including the furniture, and our guide told us that Wright even sometimes designed clothes for people to wear while in the house. Now that's attention to detail!
